68th
and 145th Ottawa Sparks Meeting Themes
The following are the meeting themes for Sparks from the first
meeting right through to Christmas break. Our last meeting for
the year 2001 is Monday, December 17 (145th
Sparks) and Tuesday, December 18 (68th
Sparks).
The meeting themes for the two Spark Units are the same except
the 145th Sparks (Monday night) will miss their meeting on October
8th so their meeting themes are pushed down until Tuesday, October
20 where the 145th Sparks have the option of joining the 68th
Sparks Cookie Selling.
The sharing schedule will be handed out at the first meeting.

Exploring Sparks
The first year Sparks will be interacting with the Spark
story and the second year Sparks will be learning about

The first year Sparks will be sharing a bit about themselves
while the second year Sparks will be making a camp craft. |

Belonging Ceremony Practice
Tonight we will be making invitations and preparing for
our Hallowe'en Belonging Ceremony. The 145th Sparks (Monday
night) may join the 68th Sparks on October 23 for cookie
selling. |

Night
Tonight both Spark units will be meeting to sell Girl
Guide Chocolate Mint cookies. More information on this
evening will be given out closer to the day. |

Hallowe'en Belonging Ceremony
Goblins, Ghosts and Ghouls are all invited to our Belonging
Ceremony. So parents and Sparks, get dressed up in your
Hallowe'en costumes and come to our Belonging Ceremony
where the first year Sparks become "official" Sparks and
receive their Spark pin. |

Nautical Crafts
Tonight is the first of four nights on exploring the arts
in the Maritime Provinces as we work on the "Bluenose
Arts Challenge". Tonight we will be making a sail boat
and fishing rod which will come in handy out on the harbour. |

objects from the Maritimes. |

"Bluenose Arts Challenge". Get ready to kick your feet
to the celtic beat of Cape Breton music and to move to
