68th Ottawa Sparks Meeting Themes

These are the meeting themes for Sparks from now until December 19, 2000. We will be starting back after the holidays on January 9, 2001 at which time you will receive the themes for January to March.

September 19, 2000	Our first meeting: Getting to Know Each Other We will be learning about each other and what we do at Spark meetings. We will learn the Spark opening and closing song along with some other fun songs and games.
September 26, 2000	All About Sparks Tonight is learning all about Sparks. We will be listening to the Spark story and participating in other fun activities.
October 3, 2000	All About Me Tonight's meeting is about "ME". We will be playing an "All About me Game" and working in our "All About Me" book.
October 10, 2000	Bring a Friend Night Bring a friend to the meeting. We will be playing games and making a special craft.
October 17, 2000	Belonging Ceremony Practice Tonight we will be practising for our belonging ceremony and making a special craft to give to our parents next week. Please Note: For this evening only, we will be meeting in Room 5 at the Riverside Churches instead of Room 7.
Saturday October 21, 2000	Girl Guide Mint Cookie Selling This Saturday afternoon we will be joining up with the other Guiding units (Brownies, Guides and Pathfinders) to sell our Girl Guide Mint Cookies. We will be meeting at 1:00 p.m. and we will be going door to door in the area. We will be finish at 3:00 p.m. We need parents to help out this afternoon! We will be handing out a more detailed notice closer to the time.
October 24, 2000	Belonging Ceremony and Reaffirmations Tonight the new girls become official Sparks and the returning Sparks reaffirm their Spark promise. All family members are invited to this special evening.
October 31, 2000	No Sparks because it is Hallowe'en
November 7, 2000	Space Theme Tonight we will be listening to space music, doing a space walk and eating space food!
November 14, 2000	All About Our Senses Tonight we will be testing our senses. See if you can identify sounds and identify objects by touch.
November 21, 2000	To be announced We are attempting to plan an outing for this evening. We will being sending out a notice later on to let you know what we are doing.
November 28, 2000	Healthy Teeth Tonight we will be learning all about our teeth and we will be making a Tooth Brush Fairy.
December 5, 2000	Craft Night We will spend the evening making festive crafts which can be given as gifts during the holidays.
December 12, 2000	Making gingerbread cookies Roll up your sleeves. We will be spending tonight in the kitchen mixing up gingerbread dough and decorating them.
December 19, 2000	Holiday Celebration This will be our last meeting of the year. We will celebrate the holidays together with a fun evening of games, carols and a craft.
