On Tuesday
February 22, 2000, three of our Sparks and Rainbow spent an
exciting day on Parliment Hill during a presentation of the
new Girl Guides of Canada Flag to David Collenette, the Minister
of Transport.
The girls
who attended were each presented with a lovely red sweatshirt
with the new flag on it.
The trefoil
in the middle represents the central principles of Guiding.
The thirteen
maple leaves represent the 10 provinces and 3 territories. The
whispy, care-free maple leaves reflect the spirit of the the
girls and women in Girl Guides.
Canada is
rising on the horizon represents the dawn of a new day.
